Join us to participate in a small, supportive 8-week, trauma-informed mindfulness-based group where you will uncover ways to tap into your innate strengths and develop competence to navigate the stress of everyday life. With the approach of spring, we offer this program to promote healing and renewal from the losses and challenges of this past year’s pandemic. The intimate nature of the small group context provides opportunity to enhance self-awareness and discover the power of connection and community.
Teens! Join us for a pre-college, end-of-high school, supportive 6-week mindfulness-based group for 12th grade girls through Zoom! In this group, you will learn how to use a variety of mindfulness and mind-body based techniques, including art & drawing, breathing, meditation, gentle movement, and imagery for stress-management and self-care. This program is based on a model created by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine.
Join us for a live panel presentation where you can learn about the successful implementation of a multi-year mindfulness-based program that has targeted a whole community to develop practices for resilience, healing and self-care. This community-wide mindfulness-based program was created in Broward County Schools (the district which received national attention due the mass shooting at Stoneman-Douglas High School) in collaboration with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine.
Join MC4ME on February 6, 2021 for a half-day of mindfulness practices in a supportive online community. When we take time to give ourselves the space to breathe, we replenish ourselves. As caregivers who advocate mindfulness practice for youth, it’s vital that we nourish our own practice.
It was a joy to facilitate our first mindfulness retreat over Zoom. We heard correctly the call for needed self-care during this unique time of work, health and political upheaval. Close to 30 participants joined for a morning of practice. Some had never been to a retreat before, some were new to mindfulness and all felt the importance for restoring balance in their lives.
